Known as a young art critic in poetry and art, the 1976 born self-taught artist is a medical doctor as well. He made his first solo exhibition at Lawkanat gallery in 2005. Since 2005, he has been participating in New Zero group shows.
His formers wroks are strong and reflective human figures as in “Male dancer” and “the girl with green eyes” combining fauvist or expressionist elements such as hard outlines and strong and intense colors. Later, his works began more symbolistic using the texts, which gave much directed meaing or message to the viewers.

He was born in 1926. He graduated in art from the State School of Art, Yangon in 1955. During 1956-1967, he served as Art Teacher at the schools of Naypyidaw Education in Yangon. 1967-1977, he served as Artist at the Department of Research, Ministry of Education in Yangon. In 1973, he contributed as a Chairman of Artists and Artisans Council of Yangon Division. In 1978, he retired from government service started painting to be a professional artist. He participated in annual group art exhibitions and group tours for outdoor painting around the country. His early works during this period of 1979-1999, he produced many paintings in impressionist style. In 2002, he got some information of the western Modern art movements in 1960’s, and he dedicated with modern paintings. Since then he only concentrated on this trend of painting. Nowadays, he is only one modern painter among the artists who are contemporary with him. In 2008, he became the Chairman of New Zero Art Group. He participates in New Zero‘s Exhibitions. He donated five paintings to relieve fund for Nargis Victims. He is also a member of Lawkanat gallery.
He made his first solo exhibition with his abstract modern paintings at New Zero Art space in 2009.

The 1959 born artist is famous for his landscape series. He studied art under U Khin Maung (Bank) and Ko Ko Lay (Mandalay). He has already exhibited eight solo shows from 2000 to 2005. He has also participated in over 60 group exhibitions not only in Myanmar but also abroad such as Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong since 1985 to 2008. He participated in pioneer new art movements such as Modern art Exhibition in 1985. His works were well recognized at Myanmar contemporary art awards Exhibition. He is also a performance artist participated in Nippon Myanmar Performance Art Exchange in 2009 and in Hong Kong-Myanmar Performance art exchange in 2010. His successful performance piece is “The sound”.
