Artist ListNew Zero Next Generation. New Zero Next Generation was organized by the first solid students of New Zero such as Ma Ei, Zoncy and Maih in order to create more active art society aiming to participate at the international art world. After the second batch and the batch, the organization became bigger and the members increased. The idea of the organization is to be the representative of mainstream visual art practices for young generation in Myanmar. Exactly, NZNG newly well organized for the changes in the contemporary visual art and the changes in the social and political situation. According to current situation in Myanmar, most of the organizations of visual art exhibitions or activities generally referred to the framework of Modern Visual Art. Only very few individual artists take the Post Modern Art or New Art, but not as a movement. The issues and dynamics of contemporary culture become more important and demanded by the social and modern policy changes because it could open up so many more alternatives that would have been impossible before. NZNG missions include producing the activities, which could refer to something or somehow about the countrys visual or non-visual happenings. Therefore, firstly, NZNG decided to organize monthly performance art events because performance art is a regime that one could bring the contemporary issues via the boundaries-less this metaphor. Now NZNG is planning to organize Asean Young artists contemporary art exchange and some local art activities considering how to bring the important issues, which have huge impacts on the specific communities or on the general society such as Environment, HIV/AIDS, Weak persons, and the development of art education.

Aung Soe Than
He
finished his study of Business Administration from the Yangon Institute
of Economics. He is studying Fine Art at the State School of Fine Art in
Yangon. The sense of mystery surrounds the incomplete human figures or
the arm-less or leg-less man. Sometimes the lions in traditional
mysterious stories and a human body, which were very small, were
composed on the field of dark green. Therefore, perhaps, he is
approaching to the simplistic surrealism. Painting
He studied Engineering in air conditioning after the Matriculation standard and now working as a technician. He joined New Zero art class in 2009, the third batch. His paintings seem to be influenced by Myanmar two classic modern artists, Khin Maung Yin and Aung Myint. However, very originality in color and brushstrokes in the paintings showed his expression of abstraction. He is also a performance artist. He joined some performance events and workshops at New Zero art space. Rose.
She got B.Com (Information Technology) from the Yangon University. She joined New Zero Art class and studied art at the third batch. She participated at the Art Trainees Exhibition recently. She also made performance art. In her performances, she used to concentrate the value and exploring of the materials. She loves to make collage paintings. Kyaw Ko Htet.
He is
studying Economics from the University of Distance Education, Yangon and
now working at a media company as a painter, especially cartoon drawing.
He studied basic drawing at the Space Studio. In 2009, he attended New
Zero third F.O.C art class and participated in the final exhibition. He
has already exhibited five group shows at some galleries in Yangon. The
themes of his paintings refer to the existence of an unknown and
invisible by human sensory bounds, composed as site map with geometrical
forms. Perhaps, he is on the way to approach surrealistic imagination. Painting San Pee.
He is studying Psychology in second year at the Dagon University. He studied Art at New Zero third art class and participated in the final exhibition recently. He is also working as a part-time NGO worker. His interest in environment issues brought the trees into his paintings. Another subject he used to paint is the symbols of Myanmar people and things, but these are totally differing from what some Myanmar artists used to paint. He just painted naked Myanmar boy holding a pot and his style seems to approach symbolism.
Thyitar.
