“Peace Game” Art Show.

DATE - 24th January 2011 to 28th January 2011

TIME - 9am to 5 pm
VENUE - New Zero Art Space

Artist Soe Hnin Aung (SNA) who is one of the members of Rhizome Art Group, a painter and performance artist made this duet exhibition together with his beloved son, Arnt Shein Moe. He made a performance together with his son, action-painting on the long vinyl cloth, on the 23th and that performance was documented. The event was supported by a group musicians including famous violist U Tin Yee. On the exhibition day, the documented performance was shown on a TV and the Vinyl cloth was divided as several painting in various shapes and sizes on the wall. The artist tried to present an art concern with personal life and emotion tied with family love. At the opening party, the musicians played instrumental solos and group plays.

Free Of Charge Art Trainess' Third Exhibition.

VENUE - New Zero Art Space

This third batch started in October 2009 lasting nearly 8 months. Some of the students were from the public art school; the State School of Fine Art. The tutors commented,” the students have good hands” comparing with the previous batches. There were quite different styles and isms that the students tried to approach.

New Zero Donation Show 2010.

It has been three years that New Zero Art Space stands in the contemporary Myanmar art scene. New Generation artists emerge from new zero art space every year. However, as New Zero is a nonprofit organization, it always encounters the difficulties in fund. Thus, New Zero member artists donate their painting to sell out discount with US dollars 150(regarded cheapest price) per one painting in order to gather fund. The original values of most paintings are between US dollars 500 and 1000 and above. Among the nearly 50 donated paintings, 30 paintings were collected by Local and foreign art collectors.

"Our Arts" Art Exhibition.

This was the painting exhibition of New Zero Art class alumni, six female artists. The participants are May Moe Thu, Ma Ei, Zun Pwint Thu, Nwe, Zoncy and Htet Htet Aung.

3*5 Art Exhibition.

VENUE - New Zero Art Space

Htoo Aung Kyaw_ Studied at State school of fine art in Yangon, he used to make realism paintings. At the same time, being a member of NZ, he has been working with installation, Performance and modern paintings. In his recent paintings, he experimented on collage, texts combines with self-portraits. At this exhibition, he made a new series of collages using pieces of paper, photo prints, some ancient Myanmar alphabets and symbols.

Zun Pwint Thu_ Zun’s paintings in this exhibition seem more distilled than the previous works. The themes and concept became more dealing with social situations as hot fashion, current public mindset, hit movies, etc.. “The world will be ended in 2012” is an example work of how she used to response on such social matters because at that time , in the early of 2010, the movie “2012” was very popular and people was talking much about the world will be ended in 2012 as their favorite rumors.

Ma Ei _ As her own style, there was nothing composed on the canvas. However, the brush works flowed here and there caused the painting a kind of composition. The only one thing to say is every brush works has the same tempo, which was a linear rhythm. The running down drops showed a complicated mental process.
