He teaches digital painting at the School of Art, Design and Media and, ived in Singapore for more than two years. Before then, he ran the extensions degrees at the London’s prestigious Goldsmiths Collage. He is apracticing artist and producing works under the name Jack Youngblood. A technically consummate painter, his work is wiedely admired and collected. Being a professor who have well-experienced of his own research papers (http://research.ntu.edu.sg/expertise/academicprofile/), the seminar by Martin was very interesting for the content how to approach visual and new media art using high-tech and photography. His presentation gave an understanding on the importance of digital and media art on the contrast of crossing the disciplines of photography and painting by passing the physical and technological boundries.

“Creating featured films” by Professor Robert Lieberman

The Introduction	What the workshop will be.

The American professor introduced some of the western featured films at the opening day of the workshop at the New Zero Art Studio. The next days, the students had to watch documentary films, feature films, Short films and they have to discuss and review them. As the final pieces, each group of students had to create 5 or 10 minutes short films. The work process moved to the American Center after the opening day.

Tam Van Trang (USA)

He was born in Vietnam but lives and works in Los Angeles. He got his BFA in Painting fomr Pratt Institiue. Then He graduated Film and television program form the University of Califonia, Los Angeles. He has already finished 11 solo shows during 200-2008. He participated in several group shows around the USA and Germany. He is a multi disciplinary artist. The artist had a presentation on his recent works of paintings and the other Vietnamese paintings. Then he showed some of the documented photos during Vietnam American War. In addition, he gave a live abstract drawing on two canvases as the demonstration at the workshop.
